About XNA User Groups
The fundamental goal of XNA User Groups is to provide a single global presence where everyone and anyone interested in XNA can search for, join, or even create a group of their own to meet locally with others with similar XNA interests.
One set of problems this site was created to address were the difficulties some User and Special Interest XNA group operators have when:
- Attracting new members
- Announcing meetings
- Plan special events
- Finding Sponsors
- Finding speakers
Other problems this site was created to address are:
- Which group is the right one to join?
- Not enough Special Interest XNA groups
- How does someone start a group?
- Who can someone talk to for support?
- What is a good location for meetings?
- What does someone need to start a group?
XNA User Groups aims to provide solutions to these problems by consolidating as many XNA related groups into one globally accessible repository. This consolidation is expected to help simplify the task of connecting group operators and potential XNA enthusiasts with each other and may potentially expose User and Special Interest XNA groups to others in the idustry that may offer to help out and mentor a group along.
By also providing XNA User Group members with the information, tools, and contacts they can use to create their own User or Special Interest group the expectation is that not only will XNA awareness be raised globally but will also go on to further inspire other dedicated XNA enthusiasts to also create support groups of their own in turn providing service to their community.
User and Special Interst XNA groups help to not only inform and educate people about XNA technologies but also serve to provide an internal support structure from which each potential member can grow and evolve as game developers. We need more of these User and Special Interest XNA support groups around the world and XNA User Groups aims to fill in some of that void through information and support offered by the XNA User Groups website.
Do you use XNA? Interested in joining or creating a group dynamic? Join today!
